Dr. Jeckyll and Sister Hyde

Dr. Jekyll & Sister Hyde (1971)

The Plot: A scientist invents a potion to turn himself into a sexy murderess

Y am sure Dr. Jekyll had good intentions. He was doing all of this in the name of science, you see. You know he means business too as he has a whole table full of beakers filled with colored liquids bubbling. His goal is to just keep curing the world's most deadly diseases. He of course believes in his ability to do this, perhaps a little too much as he starts bending the meaning of terms such as "medical ethics" wildly. In order to cure these diseases he would need to live longer so the world can be blessed with his superior intellect. He resorts to stealing cadavers. In the name of science, of course.

He never does quite find the answers to stop aging. He does however, invent a serum that will change him into a female for a period of time. At first, he does what anyone would do in that situation, he orders an expensive red dress and soon starts living a double life. He claims to be the sister of his male self, Mrs. Hyde. Better to blend into strict Victorian society no doubt.

The one thing he could not calculate in his scientific theorems, would be the blood lust needed in order to kill enough young women to keep harvesting their blood for his serum. You can only fool so many people living like that and murder so many young women until people start to catch on. He should've just tried to invent a better after shave instead.

Dr. Jekyll & Sister Hyde was made in 1971 at the beginning of the woman's lib movement. It could easily feel dated but it doesn't. It has that wonderful 60s/70s technicolor going for it too. I give Dr Jekyll & Sister Hyde 6 expensive red dresses
